Amazon Australia Prime launch

Amazon has launched Prime for its Australian site, with a yearly subscription costing A$59.

The cost of Amazon Australia Prime is considerably less than in other countries, and includes free two day delivery for local items within Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and a few other cities. It also includes free international delivery for orders over A$49 from Amazon.com, however Amazon recently announced that they would be banning Australians from buying on Amazon.com at the beginning of July.

International sellers will need to store their stock in Amazon’s Australian warehouse to be eligible for Prime deliveries.
