Bristol Entrepreneurs give a Black Friday Boost to Online Retailers

Nov. 26, 2015

Bristol, UK (26 November 2015) – Web-based service provider Zenstores today announced its commitment to help online retailers simplify shipping in the run up to Christmas. Launched in 2014, Zenstores makes it easy and fast for online sellers to manage orders and print shipping labels in only a few clicks.

Through Zenstores, orders placed automatically generate barcoded shipping labels and the carrier company, be it Royal Mail, APC Overnight or Yodel, is advised that the parcel is available for collection. Parcel tracking information is then fed back to the ecommerce site, enabling customers to track their orders.

One customer using Zenstores software to manage the festive rush and improve customer experience is Tangled Yarn, an online retailer specializing in luxury knitting yarns. Tangled Yarn uses Zenstores to print Royal Mail 2D barcode compatible labels and despatch orders from their Shopify store.

Says Rachel Owen, founder of Tangled Yarn, “We serve thousands of customers in the UK and good customer service is essential to us. Zenstores is the perfect interface between Shopify and Royal Mail and it makes it easier for us to post all orders immediately. By using Zenstores, we save on average 22 hours a month which allows us to focus on other elements of the business.”

Royal Mail’s recent upgrade to 2D barcode labels has added another layer of complication for online retailers like Tangled Yarn. Says Reynhart “ The new Royal Mail system requires retailers to upload.csv files or copy and paste addresses. This is cumbersome even at the best of times and no one wants to do this during the busy season. We’re finding more and more customers using this opportunity to take control of their online marketplaces and are rapidly turning to shipping software like Zenstores.”
