Domestic Science began in 2013 as a single shop in Nailsworth, tucked into the basement of an old woollen mill and filled with a mix of vintage finds and contemporary homewares. A second shop followed in Tetbury, housed in a Georgian townhouse, then a third in Stow-on-the-Wold, each one a treasure trove built by founder Libs Nicholls.
Filled with quirky gifts and well-made pieces spanning homewares, vintage furniture, clothing and toys, Domestic Science is the kind of shop where you go in for one thing, but leave with three and plans to come back for even more.
They started selling online not long after, and last year a serious push on web sales, advertising and social media meant volume grew quicker than their systems could handle.
Fulfilment was still manual and paper-based, which meant mistakes were easy to make and hard to catch.
Since switching to Zenstores, that's changed. Their warehouse now links straight into Zenstores, cutting out manual steps and bringing pick, pack and dispatch onto one platform.
