Frequently Asked Questions
What is FedEx International Connect?
FedEx International Connect is a FedEx service for retailers shipping direct to consumers overseas. It reaches over 220 countries and territories using a network of local delivery partners, including pickup points, and sits alongside FedEx's other services in Zenstores.
Does Zenstores support FedEx International Connect Plus too?
Yes. Zenstores is a FedEx certified integration partner and supports all FedEx services, including both International Connect and International Connect Plus, which stays within the FedEx network for day-definite, door-to-door delivery.
How do I route orders to FedEx International Connect automatically?
Set destination as the condition in your shipping rules. Orders going to specified countries or regions are assigned the service as they import, while domestic orders route to your UK carriers from the same queue.
Can I use FedEx International Connect alongside other FedEx services?
Yes. All the FedEx services on your account are available, and shipping rules decide between them using destination, weight, order value, or product, so the choice is made as orders import.
Do I need my own FedEx account?
Yes. Zenstores connects to your FedEx account, so you ship on the rates you have agreed with them. If you don't have an account yet, get in touch and our team can help you get started.
How do I add customs information to these shipments?
A commercial invoice is generated when the label is created, with descriptions, values, weights and HS codes pulled from the order. Customs data is submitted electronically at the same time, so nothing is completed by hand.
How do I add HS codes to international orders?
Set HS codes against your products once and they apply to every international shipment automatically. The codes travel with the customs data when the label is created.
How do I print labels in bulk for international orders?
Select the orders you want to ship and print the batch in one action. Labels and customs paperwork go straight to your printer with no PDF to open and no print dialogue.
Do I need a thermal printer to print these labels?
No. Integrated labels put the shipping label and the dispatch note on one A4 sheet, with customs paperwork printed alongside, so a laser or inkjet printer is enough. Any integrated label template works, and we recommend S4, S5, S7, S8, S16P, S19 or S20.
Where does tracking data go once a label is printed?
Straight back to the sales channel. The tracking number is pushed to Shopify, WooCommerce, Adobe Commerce, Amazon, eBay, or Etsy, and the order is marked dispatched at the same time.
How long does it take to get set up?
Most brands are shipping within a few days. Connecting your FedEx account takes minutes, then it's deciding which destinations and order types route to each service.
