Why teams use this automation

Some products need their own space, kit or team, such as bulky items, bundles that need building or products that need extra care. If every order lands in one shared list, packers have to sort out which orders are theirs before they can start. Zenstores does the sorting as each order is imported. Each station works from its own list, and orders reach the packer set up to handle them.

Who's this automation for?

This automation suits any warehouse with more than one packing station, especially:

  • Warehouses with stations set up for specific product types
  • Brands with bulky, fragile or high-value products that need a dedicated station
  • Teams building bundles or kits at a separate bench
  • Teams that currently split the order list between packers by hand

How this automation works

  1. The order is imported

A new order is imported to Zenstores from your connected store or marketplace.

  2. Zenstores checks the SKUs

The rule looks at the SKUs in the order. Any order with a SKU that contains PRO- matches the condition.

  3. Zenstores assigns it to the station

Matching orders are assigned to Packing station 1. The team at that station picks, packs and labels them, and other stations don't see them.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I send orders to different packing stations automatically?

Set up an Automation that runs when an order is imported. Add a condition for the SKUs each station handles, such as SKU contains PRO-, and an action that assigns the order to that station.

Can I set up more than one packing station?

Yes. Add a rule for each station with the SKUs it handles, such as Packing station 1 for PRO- SKUs and Packing station 2 for everything else.

Can I use something other than SKU?

Yes. Rules can use other order data, such as product title, weight or sales channel, to decide which station an order goes to.

What happens to orders with products for more than one station?

You can build a deeper rule to decide which station they go to, for example by checking for a second SKU. Otherwise they stay in New, where your team can assign them by hand.
